About NFESD:
The National Forum for Environment and Sustainable Development (NFESD) is a Yemeni civil, non-governmental, non-profit organization that was established in Yemen in 2021. The forum is working in areas related to the environment, sustainable development in Yemen.
Responsibilities:
- Translation: Translate written materials from Arabic to English, including documents, reports, website content, articles, marketing materials, and other texts as needed.
- Accuracy and Quality: Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and faithful to the original meaning, while maintaining the appropriate tone and style.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Consider cultural nuances and context to ensure translations are culturally appropriate.
- Terminology Management: Maintain consistency in terminology and style across all translated materials.
- Proofreading: Review and proofread translated materials to ensure they are free of errors and meet quality standards.
- Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all documents and information shared for translation.
- Adhere to deadlines: Complete translation tasks in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Excellent written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and style in both languages.
- Proven experience in translation, particularly from Arabic to English.
- Ability to accurately convey the meaning and intent of the original text.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with translation tools and software is a plus.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- A portfolio of translation samples (Arabic to English) is required.
